Introduction to Cosmology
Kiana Salehi, Physics Undergraduate Student, Sharif University of Technology
In this presentation, I tried to review what we know about cosmology briefly.
First, I talked a little bit about why FRW metric is an appropriate choice for our universe then used it to talk about the expansion of the universe and Hubble parameter; after that by using Einstein’s field equations, I derived Fridman’s equations, therefore, they led us through understanding evolution of the universe and its different stages like last scattering surface and dark age and etc.
Finally, I tried to talk a little bit about the inflation paradigm and introducing it as a hypothesis for the beginning of our universe and its powers to solve some problems of the Lambda CDM model.
