Imaging a Black Hole with EHT

Ermia Etemadi Boroujeni, Physics Undergraduate Student, Sharif University of Technology

The first photograph of a black hole was taken in 2019 by an international collaboration called ETH. They made this possible by connecting a set of telescopes located all over the earth and using interferometry of the data. In this talk, after a brief introduction of the mathematics needed we enter the world of optics and interferometry and get ready to study the details of the project.
